The facility, which is developed in collaboration with Logicenters, will be tailored for producing mayonnaise, sauces and dressings, employing some 70 people, and covering approximately 16,000 m2. It will be certified according to BREEAM and have several features for reduced climate impact, including solar cells.
– This new facility represents an important step in our foodservice development. We can now ensure a more sustainable, flexible, and future-proof operations and logistics solution for our customers, while offering a more attractive workplace for our employees, says Søren Ask Nielsen, Managing Director of Foodservice Europe at AAK.
– We are grateful and humble that AAK has given us the trust to collaborate on this, especially with the high demands of food production and refrigerated spaces. While we have expertise in this area, we are also expanding our investment in the business park in Staffanstorp which feels very good. AAK has a progressive business with a stable customer base and high focus on sustainability, completely in line with our values, says Fredrik Nygren, Commercial Director at Logicenters.
With its proximity to Malmö and the Öresund region, the industrial park's geographical location is very attractive for a variety of companies. Logicenters' other tenants in the area include Kjell & Co, KåKå, First Class Brands, Berner, Bona, Ecolution, and Elbutik.
