This unique combination of omega-3 DHA and phosphatidyl choline (PC) in a proprietary ratio* maximises the effect of DHA by supporting its incorporation in the cell membranes of adipose tissue where it is needed to be biologically active.**

Human studies have shown that omega-3 DHA is a powerful bioactive that can make a positive impact on the problem by modulating inflammatory responses. However, not all the DHA we consume reaches the cell membranes where it is needed.
The phosphatidyl choline (PC) in AkoVita OptiSyn™ is designed to work in optimal synergy with DHA supporting its digestion, uptake and transport. PC also contributes to maintaining balance in biological processes and provides choline, a nutrient involved in the functioning of the nervous system.
AkoVita OptiSyn™ is also more stable and therefore easier to use and store than typical DHA oil. It is less prone to oxidation and does not require frozen storage. Since choline is already present in its natural PC form, no additional destabilizing choline salt is required.
